Rescue 98 & Lackawanna Ambulance were dispatched to a rail accident early Saturday morning off of the 4000 block of Birney Ave in Moosic. Upon arrival, crews met with Rail Operators to find a fatal situation. Rescue 95 Taylor was also requested to assist in lighting the scene.

Story from WNEP TV: Investigators say Joseph Bieber, 28, of Old Forge, died early Saturday morning from injuries he suffered when he was struck by a train in Moosic.
Police say Bieber was in the path of an oncoming Canadian Pacific freight train shortly after 5 a.m. when he was hit near the 4000 block of Birney Avenue.
Authorities aren't sure why Bieber was on the tracks at the time of the collision. The investigation into the deadly train accident continues in Lackawanna County.
