Christmas Eve delivery........ Greenwood Fire accepted delivery of the 2010 Ford 350 Pick Up Truck on Xmas eve...

Borough is due to receive an updated Wildland Interface Firefighting vehicle (AKA...Brush Truck) prior to years end. The 2010 Ford F-350 Quad Cab Pick Up Truck and the associated Skid Unit have arrived. The unit will not only be utilized for Wildland use, but also to tow the various resource trailers that are part of the departments cache. In addition to this use, the department expects to make this vehicle multi use for general purposes and reduce wear and tear on the larger apparatus when necessary.

The vehicle was purchased with Grant Funding and monies realized from the sale of the departments 1999 Command Vehicle. The entire package was purchased from KME Fire Apparatus Fleet Sales and the skid unit was purchased through CET Fire Pumps. The skid unit holds 250 gallons of water along with a CET Mid Range pump, 200' booster reel with additional 1" forestry hose and firefighting equipment. POK cartridge Class A Foam products are being considered for use on this unit.

Warning devices, lettering and radios are currently being installed.
